Video Analytics, also known as IVS (Intelligent Video Surveillance) is a new emerging market for the security industry allowing users to monitor and secure specific areas with CCTV surveillance systems. Through the Immix® Platform Central Stations can easily monitor places of interest with sophisticated technology that makes detecting threats or unwanted visitors simple, fast and effective.
Video Analytics is a technology that is used to maximize CCTV systems by analyzing the images for specific data, behavior, objects or attitude in areas where movement or a change in the environment may mean a possible threat which results in drastically fewer false alarms and greatly increased response times. This technology is designed to transform existing CCTV systems into reactive security resources where information is gathered, evaluated and forwarded to the Central Station quickly and accurately which can actually avert an attempted intrusion through early detection.
The successful deployment of analytic systems can also provide Central stations with additional services to sell and Recurring Monthly Revenue (RMR) streams.
Immix® captures alerts and alarms from the on site Analytics system or an appropriately configured Edge camera device, presenting the alert and associated video streams instantly to the central station operator with a detailed alarm screen. All operator actions are recorded in a comprehensive audit trail.
The analytics devices can be set up and managed through the Immix® platform and combined with other alarm systems on site and existing conventional CCTV systems to provide the customer with an integrated security solution.
