Visual Verification Cube Visual Verification

The Immix system offers an ideal front end to provide a standardised service for all visual verification alarms.

Any event at a remote customer site that requires remote attention is transmitted directly to the Immix server at the central monitoring station using either a broadband or telephone system - depending on the choice of hardware installed on site. In the case of a broadband connection, the event is transmitted and received at the central station almost immediately and usually alerts at the monitoring station in less than a second from activation. A telephone system will take longer due to the dial and connection time and the slower data transmission rate of an analogue system.

As soon as Immix has received the alarm event, it is pre-handled and placed on the prioritised alarm queue for immediate attention by the next available operator. All alarms from the same site are collated together to ensure that the operator is shown the whole picture of everything that has happened on the site.

As the alarm is taken from the queue, the operator is immediately shown a loop of images from the relevant camera taken at the time of the alarm. This shows the cause of the alarm and almost immediately establishes the likelihood of a false alert. The operator is also simultaneously provided with a view of the live camera on site. In the case of a false alert, the event can be closed out with an appropriate outcome within seconds.

If further investigation is required, the operator can view multiple cameras on the site, can easily switch between cameras, even if they are from different vendors, and if supported at the site, can provide two-way live audio and operate switches to turn on lights, lock doors etc. Any further alarm activation from the same site will be routed directly to the relevant operator handling the event.

If the operator decides to escalate the event, all necessary procedures and details are available at a click of a button. Pre-defined scripting with alarm handling and escalation procedures are supported and all actions are stored in a secure audit trail. Support for event-parking, dispatch notification and logging of additional event information is also provided through the single simple to use Immix interface.

When closing the event, the operator will choose an appropriate outcome before returning to the alarm queue. Depending on the outcome of the event, Immix can be set to automatically send a detailed notification of the event to the owner of the site through email or SMS.
