Alarm processor server and database

• Quad core Intel processor (Dual Quad for UL)  1.60Ghz and up. (Multiple processors for increased performance)
• 2Gb Ram minimum  (4Gb recommended for increased performance)
• 250-1000Gb Hard Drive
  (Depending  on # of cameras and expected traffic)
  (For UL certified systems RAID1 configuration of the hard drive required)

• Microsoft server 2003 R2, Standard Edition with SP2. and five CALs
• Microsoft SQL server 2005 standard edition.  (Required for large systems  using more than two workstations total.)  You will need a CAL (Client Access License) for each workstation connected to the server.  Three are used by the system internally.  If  more than one processor is used, an additional processor license will be needed for SQL Server for each additional processor.  (For small systems  Immix ships with MSDE and full SQL server will not be needed.)

It is recommended that large systems with high traffic use a separate computer  for the image server.  If this configuration is used, the alarm process server needs only a 250Gb hard drive.  The image server should use the same hardware specification with the exception of  the hard drive which should be 750Gb to 1000Gb.

Server requirement vary for each installation.  Please contact SureView Systems to discuss exact requirement.  Backup servers are  recommended for fail over.

UL Central Stations

For UL certified systems, two of the above servers will be required running  a RAID1 configuration.  The primary and backup server must be identical.

In addition to the primary and backup server, a witness server will be required. See below for minimum requirements.

Serial port concentrator if connecting more than one DMP or Sur-Guard Reciever.
